- One of the world’s leading voices at the intersection of psychology and AI - his research spans predicting psychological traits from digital footprints and the psychology of large language models.
- Over 100 peer-reviewed papers, cited more than 31,000 times; among the Top 1% of Highly Cited Researchers (Clarivate); co-author of the textbook Modern Psychometrics. Formerly Associate Professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Deputy Director of the University of Cambridge Psychometrics Centre and a researcher at Microsoft Research.
- He advises government agencies and leading companies on AI’s ethical and practical implications. His work informed privacy regulation and a record $5 billion fine levied on Facebook, and he wrote the first press article warning about Cambridge Analytica.

- A work and organizational psychologist, an experienced HR-tech executive and a founder.
- Spent many years with cut-e, one of Europe’s pioneering digital assessment companies, where he led the Norwegian business - and, after Aon acquired cut-e, served as CEO of Aon Assessment Solutions in Norway.
- He left the corporate assessment world to co-found Fairsight, bringing psychology, technology and product thinking together to rethink how people are assessed.
Mats Englund, PhD

- Holds a PhD in Psychology from Stockholm University, where his doctoral research explored how seemingly subtle factors influence human judgment and decision-making.
- After academia he moved into applied psychometrics, spending years with cut-e and later Aon Assessment Solutions, working at the intersection of psychological science, analytics and technology.
- His research covers assessment validity, decision-making and the influence of AI-generated information on human judgment in selection.

A capital that connects the region
Belgrade sits within a short flight or an easy drive of every market in the room.
A 1926 roundhouse, rebuilt for what’s next
Ložionica was the locomotive shed of Belgrade’s main railway station and one of the first buildings in Serbia raised in reinforced concrete. It stood abandoned until the rebuild began in 2022; by 2025 it was finished, and it reopened as the region’s first centre for creative industries and innovation - a fitting room for an argument about the next century of people decisions.

Our room sits on the gallery level: a stage, an LED screen, daylight down one side, and space to divide into a programme zone and a cocktail zone. One hundred seats in a room built for a hundred and eighty is deliberate.
